Sex doll care in four rules
Follow these four and the skin stays soft and odor-free.
Wash gently, dry completely. Odor, mildew and sticky skin mostly come from moisture left on or inside the doll. The wash takes minutes, and careful drying is what makes the doll last. If you are still choosing, the Tayu Doll overview helps you match the material to the care routine you prefer.
How to clean a sex doll after each use
The same six steps work for silicone and TPE. Keep the head and neck dry the whole time.
Clean the insert or channel
Take out a removable insert and wash it on its own. Flush a built-in channel with lukewarm soapy water from an irrigation bottle until the water runs clear.
Wash the body surface
Wipe the skin with a soft cloth and soapy lukewarm water. Light strokes protect painted details and textured areas far better than scrubbing.
Protect the head
Detach the head if the doll allows it, or wrap the neck in a towel. A dry neck joint keeps the metal parts free of rust and the makeup intact.
Rinse and pat dry
Rinse off every trace of soap, then pat the skin with microfiber towels. Patting keeps TPE smooth, while rubbing can pill or tear it.
Dry the inside
Insert absorbent drying sticks or a rolled cloth, or leave the doll in a ventilated room until no moisture remains. Room air is the safe choice, since a hot hair dryer can damage the skin.
Powder and store
Dust dry TPE skin lightly with renewal powder or cornstarch, then return the doll to its case, hook or stand.
How to clean a silicone sex doll vs a TPE sex doll
The steps match. Heat, moisture and dye affect each material differently, so the details change.
Softer, more porous
Rewards careful drying and a regular dusting of powder
- Water temperature
- Lukewarm only
- Drying
- Slower; dry the inside fully
- Powdering
- A light dusting after each wash
- Stain removal
- Prevention works best; dye can set
- Odor risk
- Low when dried fully
Firmer, non-porous
Quicker to clean and comfortable with warm water
- Water temperature
- Warm is usually fine
- Drying
- Faster; nothing soaks in
- Powdering
- Optional, for a smooth feel
- Stain removal
- Light marks usually lift more easily
- Odor risk
- Lower
What goes in a sex doll cleaning kit
Six inexpensive items cover every wash. Check whether the listing you like includes a starter kit.
- Irrigation bottle. A squeeze bottle with a long nozzle flushes internal channels far better than a shower head.
- Mild antibacterial soap. Pick an unscented, alcohol-free formula. A toy cleaner labeled safe for silicone or TPE does the same job.
- Microfiber towels. They soak up water fast and leave no lint in the seams. Set aside two or three only for the doll.
- Drying sticks. These absorbent rods draw moisture out of internal channels and shorten drying time.
- Renewal powder. Made for doll skin, or plain cornstarch in its place, it keeps TPE soft and silky to the touch.
- Soft wig brush. Brush wigs gently and wash them off the head; our wig washing steps cover the full routine.
Stain prevention and sex doll maintenance
A few habits keep the skin spotless, and they pay off most on TPE.
Good habits
- Wash new clothes before dressing the doll
- Choose light, colorfast fabrics and bedding
- Test any stain remover on a hidden spot first
- Check seams, fingers and joints for small tears once a month
- Fix a small tear early with a repair kit for your material
Keep away from the skin
- Dark denim, cheap dyed fabrics and printed paper
- Ink pens, makeup and colored cosmetics
- Solvents, bleach, and oils or restorers the manual doesn't list
- Direct sunlight and heaters, which yellow and soften skin
- Hard edges pressing into the doll for days
