How the site is funded
Tayu Doll Guide is independent: it is not run by the Tayu Doll brand or connected to the brand's owner, and it does not sell dolls. The site pays for itself through affiliate links to one store, the store we link to.
If you follow one of those links and place an order, the store may pay us a share of the sale. It costs you nothing extra: the price is the same as if you had gone to the store yourself.
How to recognize affiliate links
Every price button, whether it reads "Check Tayu Doll prices" or "Check prices", is an affiliate link, and so is any link whose address begins with /go/. These links pass briefly through this site and then forward you to the store, opening in a new tab.
In the page code, affiliate links are marked as sponsored, which tells search engines they are commercial. Links between pages of this guide are ordinary links and earn nothing.
How commission is tracked
When you arrive at the store through an affiliate link, the store or its affiliate network typically records the referral, usually with a cookie on its own side. If you order within the period the store allows, the sale is credited to this site.
We receive only a report of the commission. We never see your name, address, payment details or what you bought. The commission comes from the store's margin, and the store's terms, returns and warranty are identical however you reach it. See our privacy policy for more on cookies.
What commission does not buy
Commission has no effect on our content. We write about weight, upkeep and hygiene plainly, and we suggest smaller or cheaper options such as a torso doll when they suit a reader better, even if that means a smaller sale.
Mentions, links and positions on this site are not for sale, and we publish no ratings or rankings that anyone could buy.
Why we say "the store we link to"
We have an affiliate agreement with the store, but we haven't audited how it operates and can't vouch for its service. That is why we call it "the store we link to" and not "the store we recommend". Orders, payment, shipping, returns and warranty all fall under the store's own terms; read them before you pay.
We don't list prices because they change frequently. The price on the store's product page is the one that counts.
Why this disclosure exists
In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission expects sites to disclose material connections such as affiliate commissions clearly. Beyond the rules, you deserve to know how a site earns money before you rely on it.
